Teeth Whitening

Tooth discoloration commonly manifests over time from drinking coffee, tea, cola, and red wine; or smoking. The aging process can also darken, discolor, or stain teeth. The Zoom in-office tooth whitening procedure utilizes a Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp, which accelerates the bleaching process. As the hydrogen peroxide activates, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin to bleach stained substances.

Teeth whitening in Greenwood Village is a popular cosmetic procedure that whitens and brightens tooth shade leading to a more beautiful smile and often times boost in confidence. Various options exist, from professional in-office treatments to at-home kits or even over-the-counter products.

The major difference between the two is the application method and the time required before you see results. Professional teeth whitening can be done in a single visit, whereas at-home whitening can take several days or weeks to achieve the same results. Professional teeth whitening also utilizes stronger concentrations of whitening gel so that a greater whitening result can be achieved more quickly.  Professional teeth whitening is also closely monitored by our team members, ensuring the optimal result is achieved for each individual patient.

Composite or tooth bonding is a simple way to improve the appearance of your smile and a staple of our cosmetic dental care at Greenwood Village Dentistry. A composite resin is placed directly on your teeth to close gaps and spaces, improve misshapen teeth, lighten stained or discolored teeth, or restore chipped or cracked teeth. We can match the original color of your teeth for a natural-looking effect or use a slightly lighter shade to whiten the color of your teeth.

Invisalign clear aligners are clear, plastic molds used to straighten teeth and improve bite issues. A series of these molds gradually straightens permanent, mature teeth by applying gentle pressure over time until the teeth reach their desired position. Each set of aligners, or trays as they’re called, is worn for about 20 to 22 hours every day for a few weeks until the next adjustment needs to be made.

Porcelain veneers are an excellent option for improving the appearance of discolored, cracked, chipped, worn, or crooked teeth.  Veneers are the most aesthetic option in restoring front teeth.  At Greenwood Village Dentistry, we are able to make our veneers look and feel like natural teeth.
